Here’s to you sitting alone on the bathroom floor, the weight of a choice that can’t be undone.

Here’s to you who feel the promise of romance and family are only a far-off dream.

Here’s to you, the unpaid uber drivers, soaking up sweet car time conversations.

Here’s to you, the empty nester, waiting for weekend calls from the one spreading their newly found wings.

Here’s to you with painful memories of harsh conversations or even harsher unseen scars and bruises.

Here’s to you who did the brave thing and gave up your precious one for someone else to raise.

Here’s to you, loving little ones you did not carry. 

Here’s to you who never knew tender and nurturing care in your youth. 

Here’s to you, mourning the loss of the greatest woman, friend and mentor you’ve known.
