TINY MIRACLES | By Haley Barnes

As this week carries on, something to consider is a tiny miracle. A miracle we can witness every single day!

These tiny miracles are in the little details of our lives, and requires an intentional eye to see.

Sometimes life brings us to the mountaintops of pure joy and sometimes life brings us to the heaping bottom of a valley. In these moments, it’s so easy to forget or wonder about the miraculous hand of our Lord. We pray and seek for big miracles and big answered prayers to show up. But what about the moments of the in between? The waiting period, the period of the unknown and uncertainty?

The waiting  period is a breeding ground to sow for tiny miracles. Gods presence is all around us every single day in the tiny miracles and big ones too. But sometimes we lose the opportunity to seek Gods goodness in waiting for our big miracles, when tiny miracles are standing at every corner.

Here are some tiny miracles of this week and we encourage you to slow down & marvel at the wonderful kindness of God:

  • The tiny etchings and framework of each fall leaf.
  • The shifting and rearranging cloud shapes pressed against a clear blue sky.
  • A sweet, pure and innocent laughter of a baby.
  • My dogs nose nuzzled up against my leg, asking for a quick cuddle and pats.
  • One chai scone left standing in the pastry stand for me to grab as a special treat.
  • A friendly hello wave from our next door neighbors as we clean up our leaves in the yard.

As we continue this week, we challenge you to stop and linger in the tiny miracles. Write a small list of miracles you are witnessing, and count the many blessings the Lord extends even in the seasons of barrenness or abundance.
